About Worldwide Diarrhoea Kit
The Worldwide Diarrhoea Kit is a targeted travel health kit designed to help you manage moderate to severe travellers’ diarrhoea quickly and effectively. Developed by experienced travel health clinicians, it combines essential treatments to control symptoms, prevent dehydration, and support recovery, helping you get back to your plans with minimal disruption. It also includes a prescription-only antibiotic for use when clinically appropriate, offering added reassurance when medical care may not be easily accessible.
This kit is suitable for:
• Travellers visiting destinations where food and water hygiene may vary
• Business travellers who cannot afford to lose time to illness
• Those heading off the beaten track or to areas with limited medical access
• Anyone wanting to be more self-sufficient when travelling
The kit contains a carefully selected range of treatments, including:
• Azithromycin 500mg tablets (x3), a prescription-only antibiotic for use in certain cases of bacterial diarrhoea when clinically advised
• Loperamide 2mg capsules (x10), to help control diarrhoea symptoms
• Oral rehydration sachets (x6), to replace lost fluids and prevent dehydration
• Rehydration spoon, for accurate and convenient preparation
Azithromycin Tablets – Oral Antibiotic
This is an antibiotic that is very effective against most causes of Travellers’ Diarrhoea and should greatly reduce both its severity and duration.
Dose : Take ONE tablet once a day for 3 days as required with one or two Loperamide capsules (see below).
Side Effects: Most commonly diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, flatulence
Notes: Medical help should be sought if there has been no improvement in symptoms after 72 hours, if fever is present or blood/mucus is present in the stools.

Loperamide Capsules
This is a ‘blocker’ for the management of diarrhoea. It will not treat diarrhoea but will help slow it down.
Dosage: Take two at tablets together to begin, then one as required to a maximum of 6 in 24 hours.
Notes: Never exceed the recommended dose and ensure you drink plenty of fluids. Do not use if blood present in stools. Read the Nomad ‘Diarrhoea Self Treatment Advice sheet’ for further direction.
Online medication requests are available to patients aged 18 and over. Individuals under 18 must attend a clinic appointment with a parent or guardian, where suitability for medication will be clinically assessed.
Issues relating to returns, damage, or faulty products are handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure fair and consistent resolution.
Reporting Procedure

- The email must include:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photographic evidence where applicable
- Distributor will provide next steps depending on the nature of the case.
Please allow up to 5–7 working days for your order to be processed. This includes online risk assessment review, prescription, and supplier dispensing and dispatch.

If a delivery has not been received within a reasonable timeframe:

- MASTA will initiate an investigation and, if required, arrange a resupply of the missing goods.
